Dark Ecology
«I’ve recently reading the collected writings of Theodore Kaczynski. I’m worried that it may change my life.»

I found this essay by Paul Kingsnorth (of the Dark Mountain project) interesting. It touches on a whole bunch of things. The myth of progress, tools for conviviality, the collapse of industrialism, the contradictions of being anti-civ inside of civ, the environmentalist movement and the neo-environmentalists, desertion, preservation of non-human life, reskilling—just a whole bunch of stuff. Additionally it is well written. I do not agree with ever detail of the essay, but broadly speaking, I found it rewarding to reflect upon the perspective of Kingsnorth. Just excellent stuff. Have a read!
