Dominion documents the vile and despicable cruelty that humankind inflicts on our fellow Earthlings.

The authors of the film claim that «we as a species are capable of more», thus framing the discussion in terms of moralistic capabilities. Reflecting on our capacity for kindness is unlikely to be an exercise from which humankind will emerge favourably.

What about mass society? Animal agriculture is a specific activity that specific people perform under specific circumstances. To hell with "capability"—we are obviously capable of this gruesomeness, that's why it's happening. This endless "human nature" rehashing isn't going to reveal anything spectacularly illuminating. We need to destroy all cages, and put an end to all cage making.
