old site and registration problem - rocinante - Sun, 23 Apr 2017 14:13:34 +0000

hi,

all the old posts are gone? wasn't super familiar with old version and content, but hopefully if this is to be meaningful, this place will have some staying power.

also, when i just registered, i kept getting an error that passwords had to be between 6 and 9 characters. it would be nice to be able to make longer passwords.

and last, i like the inclusion of the irc channel. but an anti-civ chan with OPS...?!    ;)

also, i noted that when registering the default setting for not exposing email address to other users is not checked by default. if possible i would recommend making this a default check, to hide email, for the less careful readers, as i imagine no one wants their email shared, unless you make that click.

Unfortunately, yes.

Yes!

Yes! I tried changing that limit (I usually use very long passwords myself), but couldn't. I have no idea why it doesn't work. It just says that it successfully updated the setting, but then it didn't do it anyway. Perhaps I should ask loneraven to try too.

I don't know that it is possible. If anyone knows how to do it in the MyBB admin panel, I would happily do it. I agree with what you're saying.
